We’re passionate about our company, our people, about what we do. We’re passionate about the success of every project we earn from every customer.
But we’re especially passionate about the Ocean Edge Services experience. In the ’90s and into this century the industry was operating in a service management economy. In that economy, if the expected service level was achieved then the provider was viewed as having done its job. Costs and profits were balanced against that basic, transactional common denominator.
We were all taught to run our businesses in a framework that is no longer sufficient. Today, we operate in an experience economy. It’s no longer limited to the delivery of only what we commit to deliver. The concept was introduced by Joe Pine and James Gilmore in their book, The Experience Economy. Often referred to just as Customer Experience, or CX, at OES we take it one step farther.
Working in the experience economy is certainly about the customer, but it doesn’t stop there. It isn’t just transactional-based commerce. It’s about the overall experience for all stakeholders: employees, partners, suppliers and, of course, our customers.
